Selecting a Contractor

The old adage is true: The air conditioning Clearwater system is only as good as the contractor who installs it. To ensure you select a company qualified to install your residential equipment, ask the questions below BEFORE you sign a contract:

Do you specialize in residential installation of AC systems?  Beware of the person who is a jack-of-all trades HVAC company.  One day they are travelling to a commercial installation, the next a residence.  These two types of installations require completely different expertise.  Someone who has only general knowledge of residential heating & air conditioning installation, probably does not understand the nuances of fitting a system to a specific home.  They will not be able to obtain the very best efficiency from the same equipment that an experienced residential service technician will.

Does the company that is trying to sell you the equipment offer a service plan?  Will they be around to honor it?  If they are not the plan is worthless. Ask how long they have been in business.  To ensure that your equipment is working perfectly Graham AC includes a one year service agreement with the purchase of each and every unit we sell.  That way, if there any kinks with the unit, we are will be there to remedy them and make absolutely certain you are completely satisfied.

Does the contractor obtain a permit for every job?  If not don’t bother with them. Permits are for your protection. Inspections are made by a city or county official who verifies the installation was made according to code.  This protects you in the event there is an insurance claim due to a faulty installation.
