AIR CONDITIONING CLEARWATER
What to Look For in a New System
Many air conditioning Clearwater customers look only at a price tag when selecting a new HVAC unit. Instead of fixating on the up-front price, we recommend you take note of another sticker: the one that denotes the product’s SEER rating. It is your key to recognizing energy savings - and that means money savings as well.
SEER stands for Seasonal Energy Efficiency rating, and it literally denotes how easily the air conditioning unit will run. The higher the rating, the less energy it needs in order to maintain a healthy indoor environment for you and your family. Over time, these energy savings add up to savings you will see reflected in your bank account. A unit from Carrier might initially cost more, but three or four years down the road, it could feasibly pay for itself.
- Look for trusted brand names. Go with a name like Carrier; besides their history of manufacturing quality products, the company also makes parts widely available to air conditioning technicians. Should something go wrong with the system, it’s simple to locate the needed components.
- If the system runs on Freon, don’t purchase it. The refrigerant is being phased out, and it will become more and more difficult to obtain it starting in January of 2009.
Select a new air conditioning Clearwater unit wisely, and then call the expert technicians at Graham AC. We understand the unique needs of these high efficiency units and we will make sure yours runs effortlessly.
