DUCT CLEANING CLEARWATER, ST. PETERSBURG, TAMPA BAY

Breathe In, Breathe Out:  Maintaining Indoor Air Quality

You have undoubtedly heard the story of the old woman who lived on Grand View- the one whose Clearwater duct system was so clogged, she didn’t know what to do. That woman was guilty of neglecting her duct cleaning. Travelling through the air system each and every day were thousands of particles of dust and soot. So to keep your indoor air as fresh and clean as an ocean breeze call Graham AC and a service technician will come to your home to inspect your system and explain how the duct system is cleaned and sanitized.

Here is how it works:

The Graham AC team arrives at your residence at the appointed time. They measure the house size and the ducts to insure they are adequate for your home. Some duct problems are due to the size of the ducts-older homes especially have duct systems that are too small for the house and are inefficient for the AC system.

They inspect the ducts inside and out for soot, dirt and mold. If black soot is collecting and/or the air smells musty, it is likely the ducts need cleaning.

Once you decide to have your ducts cleaned, the technicians arrive with a machine that cleans the entire duct system from end to end. The ducts are also sanitized to prevent mold buildup.  The entire cleaning and sanitizing usually takes ½ day to complete but can take longer on larger homes. It depends on the number and length of the ducts.

Ducts should be inspected every 2-3 years as part of your regular maintenance. Clean ducts free of soot, dirt particles and mold are the foundation of clean, safe indoor air. Remember you and your family spend a significant amount of time breathing the air in your home- it should be as clean as possible to protect your health.

Call Graham AC today with questions about indoor air quality. We can send a technician to inspect your ductwork. Call 727-369-6848.
